A look at what each AFC West team to improve in an area from Week 6

Denver has a bye.

Kansas City: Score touchdowns -- The Chiefs won in Washington, 14-6. But the Chiefs scored on four field goals and a safety. If the Chiefs are going to beat San Diego, they will likely have to hit the end zone. Field goals are nice, but touchdowns make winning a lot easier.

Oakland: Dropped passes -- The Raiders’ receivers are still not holding on to enough passes. Quarterback JaMarcus Russell has trouble enough throwing accurately. So, when he does throw the ball on the money, his young receivers have to grab the ball better.

San Diego: Third-down offense -- The Chargers were 0-for-5 on third down in the second half against Denver. It is a major reason why San Diego was outscored 17-3 in the half against the Broncos, who won 34-23. The Chargers ran just once in the game on third down and were thwarted. This issue has to be corrected Sunday in Kansas City.
