This vote was nowhere as close as the real vote was in the NFL MVP race.

Our AFC West poll question this week was whether or not Denver quarterback Peyton Manning was snubbed for the NFL MVP award? On Saturday, he placed second to Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson in the MVP vote. Peterson received 30.5 votes, while Manning received 19.5 of the possible 50 votes.

In this vote, Manning did not receive any home division favors. In fact, his case suffered. As of 7:45 p.m. ET Wednesday, Peterson received 65 percent of the votes, while Manning received 35 percent.

I was a bit surprised. I thought it would be closer. I wrote Saturday night that I probably would have voted for Manning if I had a vote. But it’s difficult to argue against Peterson’s season. Both players were outstanding in 2012.
