There have been reports the Jets will be interested in Kansas City backup Brady Quinn. I wouldn’t rule out the Chiefs bringing him back as a backup to Alex Smith. There is a new regime in Kansas City, but Quinn knows the roster and is well-respected in the locker room. You could do worse with a backup.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the salary cap will be $123.9 million for upcoming season. This is slightly higher than expected, which should help teams like Oakland that have the most work to do to get under the cap. If it means another low-level player per team, they will take it.
