Nothing like scoring on a kickoff and a punt in the same game to carry an entire month.
The Denver Broncos announced receiver Eddie Royal has been named the AFC special teams player of the month for October. Denver kicker Matt Prater won the honor for September.
Highlighting Royal’s month was Denver’s Oct. 20 game at San Diego. He scored on a 93-yard kickoff return in the first quarter and on a 71-yard punt return in the second quarter.
