SAN DIEGO -- Philip Rivers and Vincent Jackson continued to be a tremendous tandem Sunday. Jackson had eight catches for 103 yards. He has 13 catches for 255 yards in the past two games.
Rivers completed 16 of 25 passes for 249 yards. He was his usual efficient self.
Malcolm Floyd had two catches or 64 yards as he took over for Chris Chambers as a starting receiver. Floyd had a 53-yard catch on the Chargers' first play of the game.
After the game, Oakland coach Tom Cable declined to elaborate much past his original statement regarding ESPN’s Outside the Lines story Sunday that looked into allegations of past physical abuse against women.
Rookie Oakland defensive linemen Matt Shaughnessy and Desmond Bryant each played significantly. Shaughnessy spelled the injured Greg Ellis and had five tackles, including a sack.
