Kyle Orton certainly wasn’t the only reason Denver fell from the ranks of the unbeaten Sunday in Baltimore.
But the quarterback didn’t do enough to help Denver in its 30-7 loss. Orton has played very well, but he struggled to get going Sunday. He threw for only 152 yards and he led Denver into Baltimore territory just three times.
Orton has to bounce back and make more of a difference next week when Denver plays Pittsburgh on "Monday Night Football."
Pittsburgh will be a tough test for Denver, which does not want to fall to 6-2 and allow San Diego a chance to creep closer in the AFC West race.
The Broncos believe in Orton and he showed in the first six game of the season that he should be believed in. It’s time for him to show that Sunday’s performance is not the norm and that he can lead his team.
