The 2013 NFL season is coming in full force in the AFC West on Wednesday.
The Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers report to training camp Wednesday. Denver and San Diego starts preparing for the upcoming season in earnest Thursday with their first training camp practices. Oakland starts practice Friday.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ veteran report Thursday and the team has full practices beginning Friday. The Chiefs’ rookies and quarterbacks actually started to work Tuesday. They were the first in the division to get going, and it came at a price. Fifth-round draft pick, defensive back Sanders Commings, suffered a fractured left collarbone. It likely wipes out his training camp.
As camp excitement begins, the Chiefs are already dealing with the reality of a long NFL season.
