The San Diego Chargers have lost another young linebacker to a torn ACL.

U-T San Diego reports that Jonas Mouton was hurt Thursday in the team’s first training camp practice and is lost for the season. In May, 2012 first-round pick Melvin Ingram suffered the same injury. He has yet to be ruled out for the entire season.

Mouton was vying to be a rotational player and his short NFL career has been marred by injuries. He was a second-round pick in 2011 but missed his rookie year with a shoulder injury. U-T San Diego reports he played just five snaps last season. This latest injuries adds to his woes.

In other AFC West notes:

Linebacker Joe Mays is visiting the Redskins. He was cut by Denver this week.
