Here are areas each team in the AFC West needs too improve upon in Week 9:

Denver -- Enter enemy territory: Denver only entered Baltimore territory three times in a 30-7 defeat Sunday. Obviously, offensive production has to be better against visiting Pittsburgh on Monday night. If you don’t get into the opponent’s territory, you don’t have much of a chance to win.

Kansas City -- The long pass: Matt Cassel has been unable to connect with his receivers on the long ball much this season. According to ESPN's Stats and Information, Kansas City has just three pass plays of 30 yards or more. It is tied for the seond fewest in the NFL. It was especially a problem against San Diego in the Chiefs’ last game before the bye. The Chiefs are desperate for some big plays and they need to connect on a few long passes against Jacksonville.

Oakland has a bye

San Diego -- Put the opponent away: The Chargers outplayed Oakland on Sunday, yet only won by eight points. The Chargers have had troubles scoring in the red zone and they have been leaving too many points on the field. If they get a lead on the Giants, San Diego must not relent.
