- Kansas City running back Kolby Smith could be making his season debut Sunday at Jacksonville with starter Larry Johnson serving a one-game suspension. Meanwhile, the Chiefs may be without two safeties in the game.
- According to ESPN Stats & Information, San Diego is tied for second in the NFL with 14 pass plays of 30 yards or more. The Chiefs and Raiders are tied for the second fewest in the league with three pass plays of 30 yards or more.
