Denver

The Broncos want to be become more physical following their loss at Baltimore.

My take: One of the reasons why Denver started 6-0 was because the team was playing very physical, and it was wearing down opponents. Denver was punched in the mouth in a 23-point loss to the Ravens on Sunday. The Broncos have to find a way to be the aggressor Monday night against the visiting Steelers.

Kansas City

The Chiefs made a pointed sign for their players to see.

My take: It is no coincidence that the Chiefs have decorated their walls with a sign urging the players to act as a team in the light of Larry Johnson’s team-sanctioned suspension. Things like this make me wonder if the Johnson saga will be over when the suspension ends Monday.

Oakland

A local columnist urges Al Davis to examine the domestic violence allegations against Tom Cable.

My take: The Raiders statement on Monday expresses that the team will take the physical abuse allegations against coach Tom Cable seriously. So, the team will be held to it.

San Diego

Chris Chambers’ personal life may have led to his departure from San Diego.

My take: That’s what Chambers believes, anyway. He was cut by the Chargers on Monday and claimed by Kansas City on Tuesday. While his personal issues are brought to light, a big reason for Chambers’ departure is that his skills slipped this year.
