A weekly examination of the Chargers’ ESPN.com Power Ranking:
Preseason: 23 | Last Week: 16 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
After moving up 10 spots in Week 3, San Diego predictably dropped a few spots to No. 19 this week after a loss to Tennessee.
Even though San Diego sits at 1-2, one thing working in the team’s favor is all three games it has played have been competitive, including two on the road. San Diego's two losses have been by a combined six points.
And the Chargers have a nice four-game stretch before the team’s bye week on Oct. 27, with home games against Dallas (Sunday) and Indianapolis (Oct. 14), along with winnable games on the road at Oakland (Oct. 6) and Jacksonville (Oct. 20).
