SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said the return to practice of starting right guard Jeromey Clary provides some much-needed depth to his unit.

“It’s great to have him back out there because he’s one of the leaders on the front up there,” McCoy said. “He’s very vocal. He helps D.J. (Fluker) a lot communication-wise and everything, so it’s good to have him back out there.”

Clary (Clavicle) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, along with cornerback Shareece Wright (hamstring).

“It was good,” Clary said about getting back out on the field. “It’s always fun when you get back out on the field with the boys. I got to feel like one of them again.”

Clary said there’s not one specific thing he has to show he can do this week. It’s just a matter of getting the reps in and re-establishing some consistency with the rest of the offensive line.

“I just need to be comfortable, and feel comfortable with everything,” Clary said. “The more reps I get, the more situations I get put in, the more comfortable I’ll be, and I’ll be ready to go.”

Starting left guard King Dunlap (concussion), left guard Chad Rinehart (toe) and reserve offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger (groin) did not practice for a second straight day.

Linebacker Manti Te’o (foot), center Nick Hardwick (not injury related), cornerback Derek Cox (knee) and cornerback Johnny Patrick (chest) were full participants.
