Courtesy of the Chiefs PR department, here is a chart showing the NFL teams, since the AFC-NFL merger, to start three different quarterbacks in their first three games.
You may notice that the three previous teams to do it had nice seasons. I have a feeling that trend may end with the 0-3 Chiefs, struggling as they are.
| 1976 Rams (10-3-1) | 1988 Browns (10-6) | 1997 Jaguars (11-5) | 2008 Chiefs (?-?) |
| Ron Jaworski | Bernie Kosar | Mark Brunell | Brodie Croyle |
| Pat Haden | Gary Danielson | Rob Johnson | Damon Huard |
| James Harris | Mike Pagel | Steve Matthews | Tyler Thigpen |
*Does not include '87 strike season.
