ARLINGTON, Texas – Another game, another historic day for LaDainian Tomlinson.
San Diego’s legendary running back scored his 136th rushing touchdown this decade against Dallas on Sunday. That tied former Cowboys star running back Emmitt Smith's NFL record set in the 1990s.
Tomlinson’s 1-yard touchdown run, which gave the Chargers a 7-3 lead, was Tomlinson’s 10th rushing score of this season. It was Tomlinson’s ninth-straight season of having 10 rushing scores or more, setting another NFL record.
Last week, in Cleveland, Tomlinson moved past Jim Brown for eighth place on the NFL’s all-time rushing list. Brown, a Cleveland consultant, was in attendance to see Tomlinson accomplish the feat.
