Dwayne Bowe is set to return to the Chiefs on Monday.
His four-game NFL suspension for using a banned performance enhancer ends Monday. He began the suspension Nov. 17. The Chiefs were 1-3 in Bowe’s absence.
Last month, Kansas City cut running back Larry Johnson after the team suspended him for one game. Don’t expect Bowe to get the same treatment.
The team, no doubt, was not pleased with Bowe for being suspended. But he is a valuable player who can help the team.
Bowe, 25, has 33 catches in nine games. The third-year player had 156 catches in his first two NFL seasons. Bowe and Chris Chambers, claimed off waivers in November, should help the struggling Matt Cassel in the final three games.
