The following is a look at why I placed the AFC West teams where I did in the Week 6 NFL Power Rankings:

Denver Broncos

Power ranking: 7

Where I picked them: I had the Broncos at No. 7. They bounced back well from their loss at Kansas City last week with a solid win over Tampa Bay. The Broncos are a solid team.

San Diego Chargers

Power ranking: 16

Where I picked them: I had the Chargers at No. 18. I want to believe in this team but the Chargers have been so inconsistent. This team is loaded but the truth is San Diego is 2-3 and I couldn't justify a higher ranking.

Oakland Raiders

Power ranking: 27

Where I picked them: I had the Raiders at No. 27. They had a bye in Week 5. I had the Raiders at No. 27 going into the bye and nothing has changed since. Other than a wild coaching change, of course.

Kansas City Chiefs

Power ranking: 29

Where I picked them: I had the Chiefs at No. 29. A 1-4 team that just lost 34-0 probably needs to be ranked lower, but there are four winless teams in the NFL. I ranked Houston, at No. 28, ahead of the Chiefs. But I couldn't rank the other three winless teams, Detroit, Cincinnati and St. Louis ahead of the Chiefs who did upset Denver last week.
