Random news and notes around the AFC West:
Chiefs coach Herman Edwards is being elusive on whether Larry Johnson will receive any punishment as a result of the recent charges that were filed against him.
The Raiders are tiring of Michael Huff's act. He is going to be challenged for his starting safety job.
The Broncos' problems can be broken down into two main areas. Turnovers on offense and bad run defense. When Denver turns the ball over and it can't stop the run they lose. That was the formula in its losses to Kansas City and Jacksonville this season.
The Broncos worked out Chad Jackson this week. Jackson, cut by New England in the summer, was considered by Denver when he came out in the draft. At this point, Denver is simply looking at Jackson.
Interestingly, had the Broncos not traded up from No. 16 to draft Jay Cutler in 2006, they were considering drafting Minnesota's Laurence Maroney. He ended up by being drafted by New England.
