Weis joins the Chiefs: Kansas City hired Charlie Weis, former New England offensive coordinator and former Notre Dame head coach, to head up the Chiefs' offense.

Mr. Shanahan goes to Washington: Mike Shanahan, the face of the Denver Broncos for 14 years from 1995 -2008, was hired to be the head coach of the Washington Redskins.

Four make Hall of Fame final list: Four people with extensive AFC West history --- Tim Brown, Don Coryell, Floyd Little and Shannon Sharpe –- are among the 17 finalists for induction in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
