Tale of the tape: Sanchez vs. Rivers

A lot has been made about the Jets’ potential advantages Sunday at San Diego. The Jets had the NFL’s best running game and best defense in the regular season.

Many observers believe if the Jets can run on San Diego, they can pull of an upset in the AFC divisional playoffs. The Chargers will clearly want to make this a game about the quarterbacks.

San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers has become an elite player. He finished third in the NFL MVP award voting. His counterpart, New York rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez, is still going through growing pains. If this becomes a shootout, the Chargers hold be in good shape.
