While many NFL observers expect Larry Johnson to be suspended, it hasn't happened yet.
A source close to the situation said Johnson has not been contacted by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell or the league about a pending suspension. The source said Johnson isn't necessarily out of the woods but said "it is a wait-and-see situation."
Johnson is being investigated for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman's face at a nightclub.
Often players are told of suspensions early in the week so their teams can adjust game plans as early as possible. The Chiefs play at the New York Jets on Sunday. If Johnson is disciplined by the league this week, he'd likely hear by Tuesday.
