San Diego assistant out of Bears' OC mix

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that San Diego assistant coach Rob Chudzinski will not become the Bears’ offensive coordinator.

Chudzinski interviewed for the position Thursday. It wouldn’t be a surprise if it was Chudzinski’s decision to stay in San Diego.

He has a nice setup in San Diego as assistant head coach and tight ends coach. He is very close with Chargers head coach Norv Turner. Had Chudzinski become the offensive coordinator in Chicago, he would have replaced Ron Turner, who was fired. Ron and Norv Turner are brothers.
