Rivers is at the target Super Bowl age

I know some San Diego fans are getting a little nervous because Philip Rivers hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet while two players taken with him in the first round of the 2004 draft -- Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning -- have combined for three Super Bowl wins and the man Rivers replaced in San Diego, Drew Brees, just won his first.

But don’t fret. Rivers has plenty of time. He will turn 29 late in the 2010 season. A quick look at the ages of the last 10 quarterbacks to win their first Super Bowl shows the average age is 28.9.

So, relax, Rivers is not behind the curve. Here is a look at how old the last 10 quarterbacks to win their first Super Bowl titles were:
