Kansas City safety Bernard Pollard quietly having an excellent season for the struggling Chiefs, has been fined by the NFL for actions in Sunday's 28-24 loss at the New York Jets.
The NFL fined Pollard $7,500 Friday for unsportsmanlike conduct. Pollard was penalized 15 yards for taunting after a play early in the fourth quarter with the Jets leading Kansas City 21-17. Ultimately, Pollard's penalty did not hurt Kansas City.
Chiefs' cornerback Brandon Flowers returned a Brett Favre 91 yards to give the Chiefs a 24-12 lead. The Chiefs lost the game when Favre threw a touchdown pas with exactly one minute remaining in the game.
