Evening AFC West news and notes

In an in interview on ESPN radio, new Washington quarterback Donovan McNabb refuted a Yahoo! Sports report that he would have retired instead of reporting to the Oakland Raiders. Good for him. I have no doubt he’s telling the truth that he would have done the right thing and played for Oakland even though he may not have been thrilled about it.

Former San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson said he is done complaining about his final days in San Diego. Good idea. Tomlinson needs to focus on helping the Jets and not dwelling on his decline in San Diego.

The Browns signed offensive lineman Eric Ghiaciuc, who finished last season with the Chargers. San Diego didn’t have any interest in bringing him back.
