The Chargers just placed wide receiver Buster Davis on injured reserve, ending his season. Rookie tackle Corey Clark was signed to take his place on the 53-man roster.
Davis has been dealing with the injury for several weeks. He had just four catches for 59 yards. He has missed the past five games. Davis was San Diego's No. 1 draft pick in 2007. He hasn't developed as quickly as the team has hoped. Now his development will be on hiatus until next season.
Clark was on the 53-man roster until he was cut and put on the practice squad last week. Cornerback Grant Mason takes Clark's spot on the practice squad. The Michigan product had been with Pittsburgh since last season.
