San Diego Chargers mock draft
By Bill Williamson
In the fourth of our four-team mock draft, here’s a look at the San Diego Chargers:
Remember last year when the general consensus was San Diego would take linebacker Rey Maualuga? Then the Chargers surprised the league by taking linebacker Larry English. In the past few days, I’ve been getting the feeling a similar rouse could be in the work this year.
Price could be taken ahead of Alabama’s Terence Cody at No.28.
In general, the Chargers are a difficult team to handicap this year because I think they are capable of making many trades. San Diego is going to take a standout running back and it could be one of several players available. I’m putting Best here because he may be too valuable to pass up at No. 40. I wouldn’t be surprised if San Diego stole a top back late in the second round or early in the third round.
