Two Denver rookies are fined
By Bill Williamson
Their first NFL victory was costly for two Denver Broncos rookies in Week 2.
Both third-round pick Eric Decker and fifth-round pick Perrish Cox were fined by the NFL for actions in Denver’s 31-14 win over Seattle.
Cox, a cornerback, was fined $7,500 for making a throat-slashing gesture after interception a Matt Hasselbeck pass intended for Mike Williams. Decker, a receiver, was fined $5,000 for late hit on a Seattle punt return.
Cox and Decker will surely remember their first NFL win for both the joy and the hit on their wallets.
