Denver

The Broncos' free agents wonder where they will end up.

My take: The Broncos have a very underwhelming group of free agents and many are unlikely to be retained by the new regime. Perhaps only defensive lineman Kenny Peterson will be kept but only as a role player. The housecleaning is on in Denver.

Kansas City

The Chiefs took another step toward moving their training camp to Missouri.

My take: Unless there is a breakdown, the Chiefs will likely move their camp from Western Wisconsin to Missouri in 2010. While the Chiefs have nice camp digs in River Falls, Wis., most teams now train closer to their headquarters and this is likely the easiest thing for the team as it moves forward.

Oakland

The pros and cons of cutting receiver Javon Walker.

My take: Walker will eventually be shown the door. The Raiders should do it sooner than later and move on. Yes, there have been talks of Walker taking a pay cut. There has also been talk that he could retire. The Raiders need to do their part by cutting him and moving on from a bad decision.

San Diego

John Clayton reports the Chargers signed pending free agent Kynan Forney to a two-year deal.

My take: This was a smart move. Forney can play and the Chargers may need a new guard with Mike Goff probably leaving through free agency. This was the right call.
