The Raiders worked out Maryland receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey.
My take: It would be a surprise if Oakland takes Heyward-Bey over fellow receivers Michael Crabtree or Jeremy Maclin at No. 7. Overall, this workout really doesn't mean much. It just means Oakland is doing its due diligence. If the Raiders trade down in the first round to acquire more picks, Heyward-Bey could be a target since he is considered a lower first-round talent.
The San Diego Union Tribune predicts the Chargers will take Tyson Jackson at No. 16.
My take: This wouldn't be a bad paring at all. The Chargers need an impact defensive player and many scouts think Jackson, an LSU defensive end, will be a standout in a 3-4 defensive scheme. The Chargers may have to worry about Denver taking Jackson at No. 12 or perhaps New England moving up to take him.
