Where could Asomugha land?

The reaction of Nnamdi Asomugha’s unexpected unrestricted free agency -- Oakland will be unable to put the franchise tag on him -- continues. The Oakland Tribune looks at potential landing spots for Asomugha.

I think Dallas, Miami, Washington, Baltimore and Jacksonville could all make a run at Asomugha, although I truly have a difficult time believing Al Davis will not do what it takes to keep Asomugha. After all, Davis gave Asomugha $15 million a year two years ago. Why wouldn’t Davis do it again for to keep his best player? However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter thinks Asomugha could be on his way out of Oakland.

I think the only team in the AFC West that could make a run at Asomugha is Denver, but only if Champ Bailey leaves as a free agent. Asomugha and Bailey will be among the most sought-after defensive players on the market. Kansas City and San Diego are set at cornerback and both have other needs.
