Mr. Irrelevant is a kicker.

With the No. 256 and final pick of the 2009 draft, the Chiefs selected South Carolina kicker Ryan Succop.

The Chiefs received the pick as compensatory pick. Succop earns notoriety because of a Southern California group honors the final pick of every NFL draft. The group coins the final pick as "Mr. Irrelevant" and honors him on a day in the summer prior to the season.

However, Succop has a chance for relevancy in Kansas City. He has a chance to compete with Connor Barth, who finished the season with the Chiefs.

Succop is a big kicker with a strong leg, but like most young kickers he needs to work on his consistency.
