Raiders didn't move into first round
By Bill Williamson
There was speculation Thursday that the Oakland Raiders would move into the first round.
It never happened and it was the first time since 1989 that Al Davis didn’t draft a player in the first round.
Oakland traded the No. 17 pick to New England in Sept., 2009 for defensive lineman Richard Seymour. New England took Colorado left tackle Nate Solder with the choice.
Oakland has the No. 48 pick in the second round Friday and could potentially trade up to take a pick earlier.
