Schefter: Kevin Boss is a Raider
By Bill Williamson
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Oakland Raiders have come to a terms with New York Giants tight end Kevin Boss on a four-year, $16 million deal.
He will replace Pro Bowl tight end Zach Miller, who stung the Raiders by signing with the Seahawks on Tuesday. I will have more thoughts on this signing shortly.
In other AFC West nuggets:
Cornerback Stanford Routt and defensive lineman Richard Seymour have adjusted their contracts, as expected to help the Raiders get under the salary cap.
NFL.com is bringing up the Malcom Floyd-Oakland connection again. The San Diego receiver is expected to make his decision soon. Baltimore has been perceived as the favorite to land him. In other AFC West nuggets:
Despite his foot issues, San Diego star tight end Antonio Gates thinks he has “low mileage.” Gates is practicing again after he spent the first week on the physically unable to perform list as a precaution.
The Saints signed former San Diego safety Paul Oliver.
