AFC West notes

The Raiders apparently won’t sign former Buffalo defensive end/linebacker Aaron Maybin. He is set to sign with the Jets. ESPN’s John Clayton tweeted Tuesday that the Raiders could be in the mix for Maybin. My thoughts? No great loss for the Raiders. Maybin didn’t have any sacks in two seasons for Buffalo after it drafted him with the No. 11 overall pick in 2009 with the designs of him becoming a premier pass-rusher. The Bills cut Maybin on Monday.

The Broncos’ home field is now officially known as Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It was previously known as Invesco Field at Mile High.

In an attempt to finally get back to the Super Bowl, the Chargers are breaking the bank in 2011.

Former Denver coach Josh McDaniels is enjoying his role as the Rams’ offensive coordinator. I’m sure many Denver fans are also enjoying the fact that McDaniels is in St. Louis.

The Chargers cut linebacker James Holt. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2009.
