Poll: Are the Chiefs ready?
By Bill Williamson
There are a lot of questions marks about the Kansas City Chiefs as they prepare to begin their defense of the AFC West championship Sunday against visiting Buffalo.
The Chiefs were not impressive in the preseason as they looked sloppy and ineffective on both sides of the ball. They were 0-4. However, Todd Haley’s Chiefs are always lousy in the preseason. They are a combined 1-11 in the preseason in three years under Haley.
However, in addition to the poor preseason, the Chiefs have injury concerns. Promising second-year tight end Tony Moeaki was put on the injured reserve with a knee injury he suffered at Green Bay last week. Quarterback Matt Cassel suffered a rib injury in that game. He, however, is planning to play in the game.
Did the bad preseason and injuries change your opinion of the Chiefs? Do you think this team’s slow summer will extend into the regular season or do you think Kansas City will be fine and come out firing early in the season.
Please take our poll. We will review the poll results Wednesday.
