Boller starts, so do Palmer chants
By Bill Williamson
Backup quarterback Kyle Boller came out to the field for the Oakland Raiders' first possession Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Boller was intercepted by Kendrick Lewis, who took it back for a touchdown.
Apparently, Carson Palmer, acquired Tuesday, didn’t feel comfortable enough in Oakland’s system to start today. Expect Palmer -- who potentially could play today -- to start against Denver on November 6 when the Raiders return from their bye week.
Oakland fans are chatting Palmer’s name.
Rookie Terrelle Pryor came in and took a direct snap on third down of the Raiders’ first possession. But the Raiders were called for a penalty. Pryor is making his NFL debut Sunday.
