Poll: Rolando McClain's future
By Bill Williamson
Editor’s note: There was an issue with the polling. So, we are starting this poll fresh. We will review the poll results Thursday. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Oakland Raiders’ middle linebacker Rolando McClain has not been the person the team hoped for when they picked him with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2010 draft.
McClain has not been great on the field, but is facing 180 days in an Alabama jail after he was recently convicted of an assault while using a gun last fall while he was away from the team to attend a family funeral. McClain is hoping a jury trial will end the case. Either way, he could face NFL discipline.
It has been suggested by some that the Raiders should cut ties with McClain and move on. I think the team should wait to see how the legal system plays out and how McClain adjusts to playing under new head coach Dennis Allen, a defensive specialist.
What do you think? Should Oakland get rid of McClain now or show some patience with him. Take our poll and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
