Who are the AFC West's sharpest dressers?
By Bill Williamson
Apparently, the AFC West -- for the most part -- is a well-dressed outfit.
ESPN.com’s playbook went through the task of ranking the uniforms of all 122 major sports franchises. Three AFC West teams were ranked in the upper half of the group.
According to the rankings, the Oakland Raiders are the most fashionable organization in the division. The Raiders were ranked a lofty No. 13. They were the fourth highest ranked NFL team behind the apparently ultra-chic Bears, Packers and Steelers.
The always dependable Chiefs’ uniform came in at No. 47. The Chargers, who get points for their alternative powder blue uniforms, came in at No. 51. That’s the good news.
The Denver Broncos are apparently among sports most drab looking teams. The Broncos are ranked No. 95. Harsh or not? What do you think of these rankings? Did they get it right?
I don’t pretend to be a fashionista (my wardrobe can be categorized as bus station chic). But it is difficult to argue with the Silver and Black. It was cool in the 1960s, and it is probably even cooler now.
