The biggest worry that the Chiefs have about Brodie Croyle is not his ability to play but his ability to stay healthy.

It didn't take long for the Chiefs' fears to come true.

Croyle departed the Chiefs' 17-10 loss at New England with a bruised right shoulder in the third quarter. He will be examined and details next should be known in the next day or so.

Croyle was replaced by veteran Damon Huard. The former starter was a surprise backup selection over Tyler Thigpen. Thigpen was running with the second team most of the summer. If Croyle needs to miss significant time, the veteran Huard will likely get the call.

UPDATE: Brodie Croyle has a separated right shoulder. His recovery time is unknown at this point.
