NFL honors Tracy Porter
By Bill Williamson
Could Tracy Porter's Denver Broncos debut have gone any better?
Three days after he sealed a win over Pittsburgh, the cornerback was named the AFC defensive player of the week. Porter clinched a 31-19 win over the Steelers on Sunday night with a 43-yard interception return in the fourth quarter.
But the free-agent pickup from New Orleans was all over the field. He had eight tackles and five passes defensed. That was the most for a Denver player in 11 years. Remember, future Hall of Fame cornerback Champ Bailey has been a Bronco since 2004, so this is quite a feat for Porter.
