Raiders stunning Falcons

By Bill Williamson

The Oakland Raiders are trying to be the story of the day in the NFL.

The Raiders are taking advantage of a self-destructing Matt Ryan and they are leading the Falcons, 13-7, at halftime. Atlanta is 5-0 and one of two undefeated teams in the NFL. The Raiders are 1-3 and have lost their three games by an average of 20 points.

Ryan has thrown three interceptions in the first half. The Raiders had no interceptions in the first quarter of the season.

Oakland quarterback Carson Palmer is sharp, completing 9 of 12 passes.

Palmer is going to have to stay hot and the Oakland defense is going to have to stay opportunistic if it wants to complete what would be an impressive upset.
