Denver Broncos: Moving On
By Bill Williamson
Here are some areas the Denver Broncos need to focus on after a 34-17 road win at Baltimore on Sunday:
Recap: This was the best game of the season by the Broncos. They proved they can beat good teams on the road when it counts. Denver simply dominated the Ravens. It led 31-3 early in the fourth quarter. Denver has won nine straight games and is 11-3.
Biggest area to fix: It’s difficult to complain too much about this game, but Broncos can work on sustaining drives. They punted eight times Sunday. The offense isn’t totally clicking.
Biggest area to build on: Pass-rush. The Broncos had just three sacks, with two coming on the final two plays of the game. But Denver pressured Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco all game. Flacco had cuts on his face after the game. He was hit nine times.
What to watch for: The Broncos finish the regular season with home games against Cleveland in Week 16 and Kansas City in Week 17. The Broncos have been a focused team all season and I don’t expect that to change with two lower-echelon teams coming in.
