Nnamdi Asomugha to be available

By Bill Williamson

As expected, former Oakland star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha will be back on the market.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Eagles will cut Asomugha on Tuesday. He signed with Philadelphia two years ago.

Asomugha had a tough ride with the Eagles, but he can still play. He joins a crowded group of cornerbacks in free agency.

All four AFC West teams will be looking for a cornerback and I can see all four teams being interested in Asomugha. Remember, he played for new Kansas City coach Andy Reid the past two years.

Meanwhile, the Jets are reportedly interested in Oakland backup running back Mike Goodson. Even if Goodson stays, the Raiders will look for a running back.
