A fan group has bought a billboard in Oakland asking Raiders owner Al Davis to step down from his leadership perch. Will it work? Very unlikely, but it is interesting that fans have taken this step. Thanks to the many readers who alerted me of this development.
Nice move from Denver coach Josh McDaniels for apologizing if he offended anyone for using an expletive that was caught on air by the NFL Network last Thursday night in a win over the Giants. The NFL network apologized for the airing of the expletive it is not McDaniels’ fault that his wearing was aired. But it was a classy move for him to apologize if his words offended anyone
The Chargers waived tackle Corey Clark to make room for linebacker Marques Harris on the 53-man roster. The team signed defensive tackle Derrick Jones to the practice squad. Linebacker Jeremy Leman was cut from the practice squad to make room for Jones.
The Chiefs signed defensive tackle Derek Lokey, from Texas, to the practice squad.
