3-D is bust in Big D
By Bill Williamson
ARLINGTON, Texas – Well, so much for the 3-D experiment in Dallas.
The Cowboys made a big Texas deal of showing the game on its giant video screen Sunday in the Cowboys’ game against the Chargers. It was the first time a live 3-D broadcast was ever shown at a major sporting event.
Don’t expect the second broadcast any time soon.
Fans cheered wildly when the video screen went back to its normal viewing screen about mid-way through the third quarter. For those of us (no, I didn’t don the special 3-D glasses) who didn’t wear the glasses, the video screen was very blurry during the 3-D show
The video screen is one of the delights of this new stadium. Why mess with it?
