By Bill Williamson
ARLINGTON, Texas – The San Diego Chargers answered the the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys made it a 10-10 game with a 99-yard touchdown drive.
But the Chargers answered with a touchdown to take a 17-10 lead with 10:56 to go in the game.
San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers hit tight end Antonio Gates for a 14-yard touchdown. The score was setup on the previous play when Rivers hit receiver Vincent Jackson for a 39-yard reception on third down and 12. It was a huge play.
San Diego scored two plays after Dallas star pass rusher DeMarcus Ware was taken off on a cart with a sprained neck. The Cowboys just announced he has strength in his arms and legs. He is alert. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. But, at this point, it seems like it is positive news.
