DENVER -- Memo to Marcus Thomas:
Fall down to ground, big fella.
Denver had a chance to ice the game against Tampa Bay when Thomas, a 305-pound second-year defensive tackle, intercepted a Jeff Garcia pass around the Buccaneers' 30-yard line with 10 minutes remaining. Thomas rumbled forward and was hit at the 20. The ball popped out and the Buccaneers recovered at their own 12. Tampa Bay ended up punting but Denver would have had the ball in good field position with a 16-6 lead.
Thomas' lesson learned is a lesson for all defensive linemen. When you get the ball, be very, very careful with it.
