Four players to watch
By Bill Williamson
Here are four players from each AFC West team to watch in Week 16:
Denver: Eddie Royal, receiver: Royal just hasn’t been productive in his second season. He has just 37 catches, but had 91 as a rookie. Denver doesn’t try to get him the ball enough. In 2008, Denver took Royal over the Eagles’ DeSean Jackson. He is having a much better second season than Royal, which puts into question Denver’s choice. Royal has a chance to outshine Jackson on the same field Sunday.
Kansas City, Branden Albert, tackle: Albert has not had a good second season. He has allowed several sacks and he has not improved from his rookie campaign. He needs to show improvement in the next two games. If not, Kansas City could use its top pick on a left tackle and move Albert to right tackle.
Oakland, Michael Bush, running back: Bush was fantastic against the Broncos, rushing for 133 yards in a big Oakland win. Bush is a dangerous runner. Oakland doesn’t use him as much as it should. He needs to carry the rock against the Browns.
San Diego, Vincent Jackson, receiver: Jackson is hot again. After a three-game lapse, Jackson is playing at a high level. He has 12 catches for 228 yards and two touchdown receptions in the past two games. Watch for Jackson to be a factor Friday night at Tennessee.
