The Raiders cut five players. They are down to 75 players. The team now must cut down to the 53- man roster by Saturday.
The biggest name on the list is tackle Marcus Johnson. He has been in the league for four years. He was signed this offseason in an attempt to beef up the depth on the offensive line.
The others are receivers Will Franklin and Shawn Bayes, defensive tackle Joe Cohen and guard Jonathan Compas. Franklin has been cut by Kansas City, Detroit and Oakland in less than five months.
